Senior Actuary

This Corporate Center includes functions such as Finance, Treasury, Legal, Compliance, Risk Management, Tax, Global HR, Group Business Development, Investor Relations and Corporate Communications. 

The Corporate Financial Center (CFC) Actuarial Reporting and Analysis Department oversees the market consistent reporting of the internal market consistent economic framework and Solvency II numbers, regulatory and capital reporting and analysis, quarterly market consistent value of new business reporting, traditional embedded value reporting, and the IFRS technical analysis.

Functie
The CFC Actuarial Reporting and Analysis department of AEGON N.V. seeks a highly professional and experienced senior actuary to lead the implementation of the Solvency II framework from an actuarial perspective. This individual will work with country units as well as Operations on the design and implementation of Solvency II reports, and resolve any technical issues that Country Units may have regarding implementation and interpretation of Solvency II frameworks.

The role will also have responsibility for keeping up to date with relevant actuarial and reporting related developments in the evolving Solvency II regulatory standard, coordinating with the actuarial team and other related teams at Corporate Center. This includes actuarial representation at CFO Forum discussion and IFRS Phase II technical development. In addition, the role will assist in the production of the quarterly IFRS consolidated commentary for the Management Board and Supervisory Board, and various other reports and analyses that require actuarial input.

Ad-hoc involvement in other projects, such as acquisition and divestment activity may also be part of the role.

Profiel
Qualifications of the potential candidates should meet the following requirements:

• Qualified actuary with 10+ years of practice (UK, Australia or North America recognized qualification).
• Good knowledge of market consistent framework.
• Good practical and hand-on knowledge of EEV/MCEV or Solvency II.
• Good financial background (have worked on IFRS, regulatory or location financial reporting / pricing area).
• Strong technical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A team player.
• Motivated to learn, eager and curious.
• Fluent in English

Aanbod
Salary level: competitive primary and secondary package which is based on experience and qualifications.
Working hours: fulltime is preferred.
