As a Risk Modelling specialist, you help PwC’s financial services clients with the  development, validation, and or audit of a broad scope of risk models. You will have exposure to credit risk models and market risk models.

You will be part of a risk modelling team within PwC’s successful and fast growing CMAAS practice. The risk modelling team specializes predominantly in supporting financial institutions with modelling challenges in the Risk & Regulatory and Accounting space.
You are part of multi-disciplinary, diverse and client-facing engagement teams. You will be working together with industry experts, finance specialists and accounting experts to solve our clients’ challenges.

As a Risk Modelling specialist, you help PwC’s financial services clients with the development, validation, and or audit of a broad scope of risk models. You will have exposure to credit risk models (e.g. A-IRB models and IFRS 9 provisioning models) and market risk models.
You will train and manage more junior team members and you will have a say in our strategy vis-à-vis the risk modelling business. 

Who are you?

  • You have an academic degree in a field related mathematics and actuarial sciences, or another university degree with at least 3 years quantitative risk modelling experience.
  • You have at least 2 years of professional working experience in the field of risk management or modelling.
  • You are skilled in quanitative modelling, in a development, validation and or audit role.
  • You have good programming skills.
  • You are able to articulate your thoughts and ideas, also to colleagues with less experience with your area of expertise.
  • You are a team player and contribute towards a pleasant working atmosphere.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, in English and preferably in Dutch.
  • You have a basic understanding of Finance, Accounting and Regulatory frameworks that drive the risk models.
  • You want to grow, build relations, create impact and get the most out of yourself and your colleagues.

About the role
You are part of a multi-disciplinary, client-facing engagement team. You will be working together with industry experts, project managers, finance specialists and accountants.
As a Risk Modeling specialist, you help PwCs financial services clients with the  development, validation, and or audits of a broad scope of risk models. You will get exposure to credit risk models (provisioning (IFRS9) Regulatory / Economic Capital) and market risk models. These models are used for pricing, accounting and for capital purposes.

On projects you are responsible for the both for the content side of the engagements, as well as project management. You are able to present complex matter in a clear way to both colleagues and to clients. You are pro-active in seeking coaching when needed and in communicating any issues that you encounter.

You will train and manage more junior team members (starters) and you will have a say in CMAAS strategy with respect to direction in which we will further grow the team.
